Our marshes are a trust in our hands
We work toward a vision for the Mesopotamian Marshes as a natural ecosystem—a place where water returns to rejuvenate the land and its wildlife. In this vision, local communities take charge of their own development, international negotiations regarding transboundary waters involve the participation of local civil society, and the arts and social media help mobilize support—both within Iraq and beyond—to protect the marshes, rooted in a profound appreciation for the value of this world heritage.
